The primary wordmark contains a globe icon which simultaneously represents the various places that each of our students came from, and where they will soon embark. Additionally, a badge variation of the logo resembles circular wayfinding signage of the mid century.

Departure's type system primarily consists of Pangram Pangram's Formula Narrow and Condensed typeface along with a mono accent set in their Right Grotesk Mono typeface. This pairing of fonts was chosen to best achieve the typographic look of departure boards, boarding tags, and other travel related  materials.

As a farewell to the class of Fall 2024, a limited edition exhibition book was put together to showcase each student's work. This 60 page book was hand constructed by the design team and showcases the works of 11 students.

Departures consists of two physical exhibitions consisting of a smaller Fall 2024 show, and a larger Spring 2025 show. Alongside these physical shows is the addition of an archive website and instagram spotlight posts so that students work can continue to be showcased before and after the exhibitions take place.

It's a common tradition to collect souvenirs when traveling, so it's only fitting that the graduating cohort as well as exhibition visitors receive their own Departures themed souvenirs! These include items such as custom T-Shirts, Water Bottles, Keychains, Origami Handouts, with more items to come.
